**AutoCad Technician**

**Experience and Skills**:

- A minimum of 4 years relevant experience.
- Experience in Civil 3D and Technocad Civil Engineering Software; Autocad.
- Experience in projects (such as, roads, pipelines, diversion channels, tailings and industrial facilities).
- Proficiency in grading and surface management (creating and modifications of grading objects, feature lines, TIN clean-up, analysis and volumetric operations).
- Proficiency in creating and editing alignments, profiles and sections.
- Proficiency in creating corridors (assemblies and sub-assemblies, using tool palettes as well as creating them from scratch and basic intersections).
- Efficient external reference and data shortcut management.
- Proficiency in the use of Sheet Set Manager and displaying final presentation graphics (basic rendering skills).
- Expertise in creating and editing annotative civil styles (text, leader, dimension, etc.), civil templates, sheet set templates, drawing templates, view frames and plot styles.
- Basic GIS and mapping knowledge (co-ordinate systems, topology, implementing GIS data).
- Other skills that will be useful include effective communication, experience with Microsoft Office suite and Adobe Acrobat.

**General Requirements**:

- Experience in an Engineering Consultancy firm will be advantageous.
- A Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering and certification from an accredited drafting program or institute will be advantageous.

**Duties and responsibilities**:
Tasks will include the preparation of all phases of engineering drawings from conceptual through construction, including road and major earthworks grading plans, 3D volumetric analysis and report figures.
