Because of our growth we are now excited to be adding a CAD Technician to our new Johannesburg Water/Hydrologic and Hydraulic Team**Responsibilities**:

- Develop, implement, and document data management workflows, specifications, and processes
- Support Project Managers and Engineers with engineering design tasks for various projects related to site design, water, sewer, drainage, and roadway
- Use AutoDesk Civil 3D and AutoCAD to develop engineering and design documents.
- Communicate with design team about concepts, data, and specific needs associated with the completion of design deliverables.
- Manage personal task assignments and adheres to project scope of work, schedule and budget on all assigned tasks.
- Perform basic calculations to analyze and design civil system components using Civil 3D or MicroStation.
- Assist with engineering duties on projects of various complexity.
- Assists with collecting data and gathering information to support design decisions.
- Create a storm design and profiles in pipe networks.
- Participate in firm-wide quality initiatives.
- Perform other duties as assigned

**Qualifications**:
**Qualifications / Experience**:

- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Associate Degrees in Computer-Aided drafting and Design is advantageous, but not required.
- Must have 2+ years related experience.
- Must be able to read, analyze and interpret basic technical documents.
- Must have average verbal and written communication skills for both internal and external relationships.
- Must be able to respond effectively to sensitive inquiries from clients, regulatory agencies, and/or members of the business community.
- Must have Microsoft Office suite skills.
- Must possess a highly proficient expertise in and AutoCAD software
- Preferred to have experience in AutoDesk Civil 3D and AutoCAD software or Microstation.

**Physical Requirements**:

- Must be able to sit for extended periods of time.
- Must be able to operate and manipulate standard office equipment.
- Must be able to occasionally reach and bend.
- Must be able to frequently lift and/or move 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.
