**Role Description**:

We are looking for a Software Development Manager to provide sound technical leadership in all aspects of the business. You will communicate with employees, stakeholders and customers to ensure our clients company’s technologies are used appropriately.

Strategic thinking and business acumen are essential in this role. We expect you to be well-versed in current technological trends and familiar with a variety of business concepts. The role includes but is not limited to developing the company’s strategy for using technological resources, technologies are used efficiently and profitably, implementing new systems and infrastructure and analyzing the business requirements of all departments to determine their technology needs.

**Key Accountabilities**:

- Be able to give and have a strong understanding of software best practices
- Develop technical aspects of the company’s strategy to ensure alignment with its business goals
- Set up automation of essential business processes
- Discover and implement new technologies that yield competitive advantage
- Help departments use technology profitability
- Supervise system infrastructure to ensure functionality and efficiency
- Monitor KPIs and IT budgets to assess technological performance
- Use stakeholders’ feedback to inform necessary improvements and adjustments to technology
- Communicate technology strategy to business
- Plan, direct, coordinate & manage the process of writing and developing software programs
- Identify the need for upgrades, configurations, or new systems
- Act as a mentor to team members
- Make sure timelines are followed by the dev team
- Manage multiple projects at once
- Set attainable goals to team members to complete projects on time
- Resolving performance issues and making revisions when necessary
- Monitor, evaluate and ensure completion of tasks and projects
- Document software development processes & standards

- Knowledge of technological trends to build strategy with an eye for the future.
- You’ve worked in the engineering function of an established tech company before, and have a good understanding of industry best practices and workflows in enterprise software development
- You are well-networked and active in the developer community
- You're regularly involved in hackathons, meetups, or open-source projects
- You’ll be able to attract and recruit more developers to the team.
- You have a solid technical background including experience
- Understanding of budgets and business-planning
- Ability to conduct technological analyses and research
- Excellent communication skills
- Leadership and organizational abilities

- Problem-solving aptitude
