**Job Description**:

- As a Senior Resettlement Specialist some of your duties will include:

- Managing, preventing, and mitigating any negative impacts by the site and associated activities on tangible and intangible cultural heritage of the area and surrounding stakeholders.
- Assist with updating the Social and Human Rights, Impacts and Risk Analysis (SHIRA)
- Develop the Culture Heritage Management Plan (CHMP), Grave Relocation Plan (GRP) and Chance Find Procedure (CFP)
- Lead the post settlement monitoring and evaluation and resettlement and livelihood restoration progress in sites
- Manage and monitor of related community grievances, social incidents and social commitments related to resettlement and post-resettlement activities
- Ensure the necessary engagement planning to address key post resettlement issues and reviews
- Plan and execute regular engagements with stakeholders (traditional councils and municipalities)
- Ensure compliance of the discipline with external (legislative, regulatory, permitting) requirements
- Perform regular resettlement reviews, audits and assessments to inform business processes and decisions
- Monitor and report all forms of tangible and intangible cultural heritage impacts and risks
- Ensure that AAP complies with legal obligations and international standards of good practice
- Provide input and participate in Anglo American Social Way 3.0 reviews, with a special focus on 4F and 4H, and provide documentation if required.

**This role is in the Corporate Affairs department at a Band 6 level reporting to the Resettlement Improvement Manager.**
- Qualifications
- Social Science Degree or relevant Human Sciences Degree or equivalent degree or Development Studies related degree such as Development Planning
- A postgraduate qualification would be an advantage

**Your experience will include**:

- 4 years work experience in the prevention, mitigation of negative impacts by the site and associated activities on tangible and intangible cultural heritage of the area and surrounding stakeholders, 4 years work experience in social performance, social facilitation, community development, community liaison, stakeholder engagement or related matters and 2 years work experience in grave relocation projects or related matters
- Advanced skills in the interpretation of benchmarks, and development of targeted, effective plans to achieve measurable operational improvements
- Advanced proficient in addressing stakeholder requirements
- Proficient in interfacing and influencing colleagues and management
- Proficient in stakeholder engagement and ability to win the support and confidence of stakeholders and beneficiaries.
- Competence in company systems and related legislation
- Advanced computer skills
