**Requirements**:

- Employees involved in abseil rope cleaning should ideally have an active background in one of the following areas:

- Climbing
- Mountaineering
- Caving
- Military training
- Having a respective trade or qualification that can be used with rope access is beneficial.
- Employees should exhibit responsibility, maturity, and a cooperative nature.
- Requirements and guidelines are documented for all aspects of work undertaken in high and/or exposed situations using rope access techniques.
- The work situation is thoroughly assessed to understand safety risks and the quality of work required.
- Forward planning is crucial for successful rope access activities.
- Employers should plan, manage, and organize the work to minimize risks to technicians, other personnel, and third parties involved in rope access1.
