**Job Purpose**

This role will be expected to lead the development and delivery of the digital consulting and strategy capability, ensuring the capability grows and matures, delivery value to the business. The digital consulting capability, in the context of in Nedbank, provides support to the business units and functional domains in Nedbank CIB cluster, by unpacking business and technology issues using structured frameworks and developing strategic recommendations that solve business problems and contribute to digitally transforming the cluster.

**Responsibilities**:

- Support the achievement of the digital transformation strategy, objectives and values
- Continuously develop consulting capability offering, practices, frameworks and tools to support CIB digital transformation agenda, guided by research on leading problem solving frameworks, design thinking and CIB business needs
- Drive innovation, sourcing and incubation, through the consulting team’s work and collaborating with the capabilities in the digital office and the greater technology eco-system in Nedbank
- Create visibility and excitement in CIB of the consulting team’s offering, capabilities and achievements
- Develop a backlog of digital consulting and problem-solving initiatives which will support the CIB digital transformation agenda
- Mentor and coach consulting team on ways of work, frameworks and tools and quality delivery output (presentations on analysis and recommendations)
- Manage the performance of the consulting team, setting appropriate GCC, career development plans, and interventions to address performance gaps- Develop and manage learning and development programs for the consulting team, to ensure the team grows their skills and capabilities inline with leading practice, standards and business needs
- Manage the capacity, planning and allocation of consulting resources to priority business initiatives which will drive the digital transformation agenda in CIB
- Motivate consulting team by creating environment of collaboration and teamwork through engaging with staff (sharing information) and encouraging participation in delivery and capability development
- Guide and advise business on leading practice operating model, processes and digital technology and digital transformation, ensuring to incorporate in analysis, recommendations and proposed solutions
- Stay abreast of developments in digital technology and digital transformation trends in industry
- Developing deep understanding and intimacy of business unit, domain functions and operations to guide advisory and deliverables
- Build, sustain and leverage relationships with key stakeholders within and outside CIB to facilitate and support delivery and decision making
- Facilitate collaboration workshops and engagements with a variety of stakeholders, leading discussions and maintain group focus toward stated goals
- Collaborate with stakeholders, managing conflict, agreeing on task and project requirements, and remaining impartial in requirements discussions
- Develop presentations and execute communication with stakeholders and senior business leaders
- Developing client (or stakeholder) persona profiles and journeys to convey understanding of the client, leveraging design tools to enable empathy and understanding of experience and needs (with support from the CX team)
- Conducting business/functional operational analysis, gathering requirement and developing problem statements and recommendations for transformation and improvement (incl. digital, technology, process, experience and people)
- Conducting data analysis for business/functional and developing data and insights recommendations to (1) improve continued data democratization and drive (2) improved strategic, operational and risk decision making in the business
- Developing value cases to demonstrate value of and justify investment in digital transformation initiatives recommended (ensuring to consider how value will be measured, tracked and reported)
- Ensure knowledge management by sharing knowledge and industry trends with team and the greater CIB
- Sourcing and recommending relevant innovative digital solutions to solve CIB business problems and contribute to the overall digital transformation agenda**Essential Qualifications - NQF Level**
- Professional Qualification/Honours Degree
- Field of Study: Relevant business-related e.g. Finance, Accounting, Economics, Data Science- Minimum Experience Level- Total number of years’ experience: 8 - 10 years with 5 - 6 years management experience
