Cape Town, South Africa Exodus Full time

Exodus Adventure Travels in particular has built firm and far-reaching foundations in sustainable tourism during its 50 years of existence. Over the last few years, this ethos has been further embedded and expanded through the establishment of a comprehensive sustainability strategy (our People, Places, and Planet plan), the launch of the Exodus Adventure Travels Foundation and, as of January this year, becoming a Certified B Corp. We are now looking at our sustainability goals for the next 3 years, as well as working closely with the wider Travelopia group on developing and implementing a robust and forward-thinking sustainability plan, decarbonizing our operations, pursuing a nature-positive future, and other related activities.

As such, we seek a driven, committed Product Sustainability Manager to support and further accelerate the implementation of our sustainability activity through our trip design and delivery. As well as delivering on existing initiatives, there is a lot of scope in this role for innovation and creative thinking, as we look for further ways to ensure our adventures bring positive impact for people, places, and the planet.

- Managing sustainability-related product team working groups.
- Informing/ delivering any product sustainability-related content to the Exodus marketing team.

**What we are looking for**:

- Someone with a passion for purpose-driven business, with some experience working to embed sustainability within an organisation. Experience working with suppliers is ideal but not vital.
- Ideally, someone with travel product/ commercial experience, with good market knowledge, who can identify opportunities for sustainability-related products, assess their financial viability, and build/implement a ‘roadmap’ to get them live.
- A relational standout colleague; someone who would be energized by engaging, influencing, and collaborating across a broad team and a global supplier network, and could represent the company at events and forums.
- An enthusiastic, proactive, adaptable attitude with the confidence and ability to come up with ideas and solutions, and see through their implementation.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy, with an organized, well-structured, reliable approach to managing and prioritizing projects and tasks, and an ability to manage and analyze data well.
- Shown 3 years of working experience, with sound experience in office-based working protocols, processes, and software, including Excel.

We believe people are happier and perform best when they can be their true selves, and that diverse teams deliver better results.

Together we will cultivate a diverse, equitable, and inclusive environment, where everyone can thrive. We are committed to driving change through increasing awareness of, and counteracting unconscious bias; building an inclusive culture, and embracing diversity in all its dimensions.
