Head of Student Affairs/disciplinary Head

This is a combined school so primary and High school. **High School TEACHING experience is a pre-requisite**

**Main Responsibilities**
- The HoSA is the leader of the school discipline team.
- He/she is in charge of the planning, organisation, development and monitoring of matters relating to student discipline at school.
- Administratively, he/she is responsible for recommending to the school head the deployment of school staff to the discipline team and allocation of duties and resources for student discipline to ensure collaboration among members of the discipline team and other functional teams as well as with the school social worker.
- He/she should also coordinate with other government departments such as the SAPS, the Social Welfare Department etc. to draw on their expertise and resources to provide an integrated support service in developing proactive and/or preventive programmes in managing students’ behaviour problems at school.
- be able to work well independently and in a team.
- have experience as a teacher in a high school environment
- have had management/leadership roles in a high school environment
- contribute towards the development of the learners.
- able to head up school discipline
- be fully qualified - BED or PGCE
- be fully SACE registered
- be involved in the school SMT
- Have high school teaching/coaching experience
- be able to take on the responsibilities of overall parent liaison
- be able to oversee coaches and assisting in the management and logistics of sporting codes/matches including transportation (10% of the job)
- have good organisational, administration and management skills
- have exceptional leadership skills

**Requirements**:
Teaching qualification
SACE Qualified
Teaching experience - high School
