Research Analyst

Alpha BPO is looking for two Research Analysts to join our dynamic and customer-centric team

**About the Role**

As a Research Analyst, you will play a key role in our Corporate Finance Department, supporting our Corporate Finance Client in the United Kingdom. You will be responsible for conducting in-depth research to identify potential acquisitions and sellers, analysing company information, and providing insights on industry trends and forecasts. You will also assist in preparing marketing materials for mergers and acquisitions mandates.

**What You'll Do**
- Research potential acquisitions and sellers for live M&A deals
- Conduct industry and market research for the UK market
- Analyse company information, both qualitative and quantitative
- Provide analysis of trends and forecasts and recommend actions for optimization
- Identify and drive process improvements, including the creation of standard and ad-hoc reports
- Prepare industry reports using advanced report writing tools
- Gather and use market data to analyse trends, create charts, graphs, and presentations
- Develop recommendations to improve business operations
- Interpret UK business financial statements and valuation analysis
- Assist in preparing marketing documents for mergers and acquisitions mandates
- Attend virtual meetings with Senior Corporate Finance Partners and Advisors and prepare meeting notes
- Maintain and expand our potential client and buyer database
- Support the deal team on all aspects of the transaction
- Stay up-to-date on industry news

**What We're Looking For**
- A postgraduate degree in Business Finance, Economics, or Financial Management
- 2-3 years of experience in Corporate Finance/M&A
- Understanding of UK quoted company situations and knowledge of UK business markets
- Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical skills
- Experience in using different research tools
- M&A transactional experience preferred
- A keen interest in the UK and Global equity markets
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suites
- Ability to meet deadlines and manage time efficiently
- Ability to consistently produce high-quality work
- An outstanding appreciation for accuracy and clean formatting
- Strong adherence to confidentiality
- Ability to work UK hours (9 am - 6 pm) and the opportunity to work remotely.
