**PERFORMANCE OUTPUT**
- Drive the business strategy (plan and monitor progress and effectiveness)
- Drive operationalisation of the strategy through establishing the appropriate capabilities and change initiatives
- Maintain a marketing organisation that can support effective targeted marketing and customer support to grow the customer base and to grow InteliGro's share in the market
- Maintain a supplier base that secures effective supply of the required products to differentiate InteliGro in the market, at competitive prices as well as technical and marketing support
- Drive partnerships in the industry that enable and improve the retail business model
- Guide the financial strategy of the business so that InteliGro can maintain a strong income statement and balance sheet with healthy working capital ratios
- Grow and sustain a strong InteliGro brand in the market by adding value to growers through technical expertise, a comprehensive range, competitive prices, high quality products and operational efficiency
- Provide leadership for InteliGro so that it can attract, develop and retain top talent in order for individuals and teams to implement the strategy effectively
- Interact and manage the Crop Advisor team to ensure optimal market coverage and alignment with the company strategy
- Maintain a high-performance culture in InteliGro that is focused on customer intimacy
- Manage key customer and supplier relationships by building longstanding trust relationships
- Build the company image by collaborating with customers, government, community organisations, organised agriculture, employees, and enforcing ethical business practices

**MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS**
- Relevant degree in Agriculture and/or Financial Management and/or Business Management
- 8 - 10 years’ relevant experience within a similar senior managerial role within agricultural industry
- Professional knowledge and insight with regards to the strategic and operational functioning of business enterprises
- A proven record of success and wide knowledge of the agricultural industry, including international agricultural trends and technologies, with specific reference to integrated crop solutions
- Strategic insight regarding all aspects of the agriculture value chain and thorough holistic knowledge of the SA agricultural business environment
- Thorough understanding of the crop protection, plant nutrition and seed supplier network and relationship management
- A proven record of strategic business alignment
- Thorough knowledge of the relevant organisational legislation including the Companies Act
- A proven track record of change management facilitation and implementation
- Demonstrated skills in strategic and visionary thinking and excellent organisational skills
- Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain a high level of customer trust and confidence
- Exceptional level of leadership, emotional intelligence, and interpersonal skills
- A persuasive negotiator, positive conflict management style, diplomatic, and an effective problem solver
- Strong sense of business ethics, integrity, confidentiality, and discretionary skills
- Must be highly motivated, goal orientated and promote a high performing company culture
