Legal & Compliance Consultant

We are looking for a detail-oriented individual with Business Process and compliance review experience. The individual will perform daily reviews of customer transactions flagged for non-compliance based on their National Industrial Classification (NIC) codes and a pre-defined benchmark behavior matrix. The Legal and Compliance consultant will provide guidance and support to the rest of the legal and compliance team, prepare reports to leadership and the client as required.

This is a 3 months fixed-term contract role.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Oversee Legal and compliance review deliverables and daily targets for the team
- Ensure team volume and quality targets are achieved
- Provide daily/weekly volume and progress reporting to client
- Provide guidance/support/training to junior resources as required
- Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures
- Maintain benchmark behavior matrix as guide to alert reviews
- Review all alerts/client transactions triggered by the client’s custom Legal and Compliance tool against the benchmark behavior matrix
- Prepare appropriate narrative explaining the reason for compliance/non-compliance
- Escalate non-compliance in the client’s custom-built system
- Achieve individual daily volume and quality targets
- Provide feedback to client during weekly/monthly client meetings
- Provide input on possible process improvements

**Required Skills**:

- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities (English); ability to communicate independently with client, build strong client relationships
- 3-5 years business process administration experience
- Ability to investigate & solve queries from customers with internal stakeholders
- Ability to prioritize and manage expectations
- Ability to supervise a small team
- A keen eye for detail
- Process Oriented
- Ability to work independently & multitask
- Good computer skills: MS Office (Excel & PowerPoint skills) required
- Pro-active problem solver; always searching for process improvement opportunities
- The ability to take initiative and ownership of own work
- High level of honesty, accuracy, confidentiality, and dependability
- Shift work/flexible working hours as required
- Previous experience in compliance
- BPO/Shared Services experience
