Leadership: Providing leadership and direction to staff members across various departments, ensuring that operations run smoothly and efficiently in the absence of the general manager.
- Strategic Planning: Participating in strategic planning initiatives, setting goals, and implementing policies and procedures to achieve organizational objectives.
- Financial Management: Overseeing financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting, to ensure profitability and cost-effectiveness.
- Guest Satisfaction: Monitoring guest feedback and satisfaction levels, addressing any issues or concerns promptly, and ensuring a positive guest experience.
- Staff Management: Managing and supervising department heads and staff members, providing guidance, support, and training as needed to maintain high levels of performance and morale.
- Operations Management: Overseeing day-to-day operations, including front desk management, housekeeping, food and beverage service, maintenance, and other operational areas.
- Vendor and Supplier Relations: Managing relationships with vendors, suppliers, and contractors, negotiating contracts, and ensuring the timely delivery of goods and services.
- Compliance and Safety: Ensuring compliance with industry regulations, safety standards, and company policies to maintain a safe and secure environment for guests and staff.
- Marketing and Sales: Collaborating with the sales and marketing team to develop and implement strategies to attract guests, increase occupancy rates, and maximize revenue.
- Problem Solving: Resolving operational issues, conflicts, and challenges that arise during day-to-day operations, taking proactive measures to prevent recurrence.
- Communication: Maintaining open and effective communication with staff members, department heads, and corporate leadership, providing updates and reports as required.
- Quality Assurance: Monitoring and maintaining quality standards across all aspects of the operation, ensuring consistency and excellence in service delivery.
- Training and Development: Identifying training needs and opportunities for staff members, providing coaching, mentoring, and development programs to enhance skills and capabilities.
- Emergency Response: Acting as a point of contact and decision-maker during emergencies or crises, coordinating response efforts and ensuring the safety and well-being of guests and staff.
- Transition Management: Facilitating a smooth transition back to the general manager upon their return, providing updates, documentation, and insights gained during the relief period.
