**Description**:
The purpose of this role is to safely perform fabrication, development and plant repairs / modifications as required for optimal operation of plant.

**Experience and qualifications**:

- Matric, preferably with a national qualification either in Civil, Mechanical or Mining diploma including welding, hands on fabrication
- 5 years experience within the mining industry
- Must be experience in assisting and leading projects
- Experience related to crushing plants both mobile and static
- Experience in reading of fabrication plans and implementing them into projects
- Ability to communicate in Zulu and English
- A strong level of technical understanding of quarrying environments and extraction systems

**Duties include**:

- Effectively and accurately install, commissions and maintain crusher equipment
- Undertake effective and accurate repairs to Metso, Osborn, Sandvik and Pegson equipment
- Must be able to work in a fast paced environment
- Perform routine and non routine maintenance activities
- Inspect, install, adjust and maintain mechanical machines and equipment on site
- Component rebuild and replacement
- Equipment lubrication
- Provide input to maintenance and reliability improvement initiatives
- Recommend job plan and tool changes to relevant individuals
- Safely operate specific units of mobile equipment including overhead and mobile crane, forklifts etc
