RedCat Recruitment is seeking a trade tested and experienced **FITTER **for a large concern, position based in the **KwaZulu-Natal Midlands area.**

Grade 12.

Trade tested Fitter.

Theory training in the mechanical trade, equivalent to N2.

Valid driver’s license / own reliable vehicle.

Basic training in hydraulics.

Basic training in pneumatics.

Daily plant checks.

Work shifts as required on a roster system.

Respond to production plant breakdowns and carry out necessary repairs in the shortest possible

time.

Repair water, air and steam leaks as instructed.

Accurately record all work done on job cards or on planned maintenance schedules.

Report all serious defects and/or defects which could not be repaired.

Complete planned maintenance schedules.

Carry out safety inspections on equipment and plant.

Undertake installation and modification of equipment and plant as instructed.

Ability to read and understand mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic drawings

Thorough knowledge and understanding of mechanics, mechanical drivers and gearboxes, hydraulics, pneumatics and water, air and steam reticulation.
