**Job Details**:
A dynamic, vibrant, and growing cosmetics business is looking for a Health & Safety Intern to be responsible for assisting the SHEQ Manager in creating, enacting, and updating job safety programs for employees that encompass government health and safety regulations as well as company standards for safety in the workplace. They will also assist in training employees on the importance of health and safety on the job.

Fixed-term Contract: 18 months.

Location: Bellville, Cape Town, South Africa

**REQUIREMENTS**:

- Grade 12 + a national certification in H&S from a recognized training provider (or a degree in Safety Management or equivalent advantageous)
- Computer literate (Ms Office), experience working on a H&S system (e.g. SheQX) advantageous.
- Code 8 drivers’ licence with own transport
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in all situations (English), other languages such as Afrikaans/Xhosa advantageous.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and instructions with high attention to detail

- Strong accuracy skills and able to execute independently post instruction
- Excellent interpersonal skills whilst maintaining professionalism
- Detail and H&S system maintaining should be your passion
- Must show proactiveness - not only following direction, but also taking initiative
- Must be able to work well under pressure and achieve deadlines.
- Must be computer Literate - excellent Microsoft Office Suite proficiency required and skills in using a H&S system (such as SheQX) is advantageous.
- Must be honest and reliable - integrity is of the utmost importance in this role
