Senior Plant Operator at Epko: Join Our Team of Oil Extraction Experts

**Purpose of Position**:
As a Senior Plant Operator at Epko, your primary responsibility is to skillfully operate and control the plant, ensuring

the efficient extraction of oil and meal from seeds while maintaining the highest quality standards.

**Key Responsibilities and Objectives: **

Utilize the SCADA system to control the crushing plant, achieving excellent budgeted yields and product
quality.

Interpret quality results, taking corrective/preventative action to guarantee the final product's high quality.

Conduct machine setup, adjustment, and maintenance to ensure optimal operation.

Perform plant inspections during stoppages, implementing corrective actions promptly.

Act as Shift Manager in their absence, showcasing experience and exceptional performance.

Manage and lead employees under your control, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.

Conduct Root Cause analysis and implement corrective actions to enhance operational efficiency.

Inspect and repair machines during stoppages to minimize downtime.

Generate and raise job cards for all corrective actions required.

Adhere to all Safety, Health, and Environmental (SHE) as well as Food Safety standards.

Perform mass balance calculations on oil and meal production.

Implement plant-related procedures relevant to your role.

**Minimum Requirements: **

Grade 12 qualification.

Minimum mathematics competency at grade 10 level.

At least 4 years of hands-on experience in operating seed crushing equipment.

Proficient in utilizing the SCADA system for plant control.

**Skills Required: **

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for interpreting quality results and implementing corrective
actions.

Ability to collaborate effectively with other disciplines, fostering teamwork.
