Duties/Pligte
**Hierdie pos koördineer die akademiese administratiewe prosesse, skakeling met hoëvlaknetwerke en verskeie vorme van e-leer met betrekking tot studente en personeel in die Munisipale Minimum Bevoegdheidsvlak sertifikaatprogram.**
**Verantwoordelikhede sluit in maar is nie beperk tot**:
- Die opstel en koördinering van die verskeie MMC programroosters en die hantering van alle administrasie en logistiek met betrekking tot kontaksessies (plaaslik, provinsiaal en nasionaal), telematiese/virtuele klasse,werkstukke, eksamens en verslagdoening;
- Studenteregistrasie, prosesse vir die erkenning van vorige leer (EVL), studentebewysportefeuljes, studente-oriëntering, die hantering van studentenavrae oor akademiese administrasie, en korrekte verwysing met betrekking tot kursusverwante kwessies;
- Ondersteuning van studente en akademiese personeellede in die gebruik van die US se e-leerplatform / SPL kortkursusstelsel en interaktiewe telematiese / virtuele middele, administrateurspligte om eeinheidstandaard-inhoud bygewerk te hou, die verkryging van verslae op die SPL kortkursus leerplatform, en algemene probleemopsporing op die leerplatform;
- Skakeling met akademiese personeellede, produksiebestuur van kursusmateriaal soos werkboeke, die bestelling en verspreiding van handboeke en elektroniese kursusmateriaal, en die produksie en verspreiding van voorafopnames van videomateriaal, ens.;
- Bied steun aan die akademiese hoof van die program, byvoorbeeld met betrekking tot finansiële beplanning en begrotingsbestuur.
**This position coordinates the academic administration processes, liaising with high level networks and various e-learning relating to students and staff within the Municipal Competency levels Certificate Programme.**
**Responsibilities include but is not limited to**:
- Drafting and coordinating the various MMC programme schedules and handling all administration and logistics related to contact sessions (local, provincial and national), telematics/virtual classes, assignments, examinations and reporting;
- Student registration, RPL processes, portfolio of evidence of students, student orientation, answering queries of students relating to academic administration and appropriate referral with regard to course-related issues;
- Supporting students and academic staff in the use of the SU e-learning platform / SPL short course website and other interactive learning mediums, acting as administrator to keep module unit standard content up to date, extracting reports from the SPL short course website and general trouble-shooting on the learning platform;
- Liaising with academic staff and managing the production of course material, such as workbooks/learner guides, ordering and distributing text books and electronic course material, and producing and distributing pre-recordings of video material, etc.;
- Providing support to the academic head of the programme, for example with financial planning and budget management.
Job Requirements/Pos Vereistes
- 'n Baccalaureus graad in Openbare en Ontwikkelingsbestuur, of in 'n verbandhoudende vakgebied;
- Kennis en begrip van die Universiteit Stellenbosch se beleide en prosesse met betrekking tot die administrasie en ondersteuning van hierdie program;
- Minstens drie jaar ervaring op die gebied plaaslike owerheidsbestuur en van nagraadse leer;
- 'n Geldige rybewys en die vermoë en bereidwilligheid om vir buitekampus logistieke en administratiewe ondersteuning te reis soos vereis word;
- Goeie mondelinge en skriftelike kommunikasievaardighede in Engels;
- Goeie organisatoriese
- en interpersoonlike vaardighede;
- Die vermoë om onder druk te werk en spertye te haal;
- Die vermoë om betroubaarhed, integriteit. inisiatief en buigsaamheid aan die dag te lê.
Knowledge and understanding of Stellenbosch University's policies and processes relating to the administration and support of this programme;
- At least three years' experience relating to local government management and of postgraduate learning;
- A valid driver's licence and the ability and willingness to travel to provide logístical and administrative support off-campus as required;
- Good written and verbal communication skills in English;
- Good organisational and interpersonal skills;
- The ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines;
- The ability to show initiative and flexibility, reliability and integrity.
Recommendation/Aanbeveling
- 'n Voltooide graad in Openbare en Ontwikkelingsbestuur, of op 'n verbandhoudende vakgebied;
- Vaardigheid in ander amptelike Suid-Afrikaanse tale;
- Diploma in Projekbestuur sal voordelig wees.
Fluency in other official South African languages;
- A diploma in Project Management would be advantageous.
