Quality Assurance Manager

**Job Description**:
**FOOD QUALITY ASSURANCE MANAGER**

**Overview**:Quality Assurance Manager to effectively manage the implementation and compliance of FSSC2200 as well as the planning and implementation of continuous improvement projects.

**Duties**:
Part of the Food Safety Team.

Assist with drawing up food safety and quality policies and procedures as well as the training and implementation thereof.

Together with the Production Supervisors, verify the plant CCP’s.

Conduct compliance inspections.

Assist with maintaining and improving product and packaging quality in line with company approved specifications.

Assist with maintaining and improving manufacturing quality standards.

Ensure all calibrations are planned, scheduled and actioned timeously.

Ensure on site lab compliance as well as external sample testing is conducted timeously.

Assist with health and safety compliance.

Schedule monthly food safety meetings, minute proceedings and circulate to the relevant stakeholders.

Conduct monthly PRP audits with the internal audit team and guide Supervisors on improving their PRP audit results.

Ensure that corrective and preventative actions are implemented and recorded.

Handle customer complaints, analysis, trends and reporting within the required timeframe.

Ensure that non-conformances are raised, actioned, trended and reported on within the required timeframe.

Prepare and present food safety and quality reports to management.

Annual reviews of supplier information in line with food safety requirements and obtain authorisation from the Plant Manager.

Assist with creating and maintaining quality work instructions with any required improvements being timeously communicated to the Plant Manager.

Ensure correct processes are adhered to for successful manufacture of ice cream and frozen confectionary as per company policy.

**Requirements**:
ND Food Technology.

Minimum 6 years relevant work experience in a Senior Quality role.

Ability to drive a task from commencement to completion.

Deadline Driven

Extensive experience with FFSC 22000, system version 6.1

Hands on experience with the implementation of FFSC 22000 and audits

**Remuneration**:
R350k CTC negotiable
