Head Barman

Motswari Private Game Reserve located in the Timbavati Region is seeking to employ a Head Barman & Bar Stock Controller who must have full understanding of food & wine terminology & have inventory control measures in place that promotes lower cost of sales & reduced stock levels. Leadership skills in combination with high overall service knowledge is required.

**DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: -**
- Ensure company policies and procedures are adhered to
- Assist with oversight and management of service times, relieving the Front of House Manager
- Provides relief for the Front of House manager during leave cycles
- Overseas bar, bar stock & bar service
- Demonstrates a commitment to guest services in responding promptly to guest requirements
- Must have full understanding of food & wine terminology & offerings
- Efficiently mix ingredients to prepare cocktails, poured beers & wines according to relevant recipes & techniques
- Serve customers in a helpful/friendly manner
- Always keep abreast of with cocktail & drink trends & recommend to guests
- Ensure bar is always clean & presentable
- Ensure guests are billed correctly
- Assist with & ensure accurate monthly stock takes occur
- Perform administrative tasks relating to stock control and procurement
- Maintain accurate record of inventory & stock management systems
- Co-ordinate with management team on supply ordering
