The main purpose of this position is to provide managerial leadership to the management support function in order to support the operations and programmes of the Currency Management Department

**JOB DESCRIPTION**
- Contribute towards the CMD’s strategic planning process and development as well as manage a strategically aligned operational plan for the Management Support Division.
- Contribute to the development and refinement of relevant policies, processes and systems to ensure alignment of the management support services function with departmental needs.
- Manage delivery of the team’s output, including but not limited to the provision of administrative support in respect of management information; internal audit, governance, risk and compliance management matters; contract management; records management; facilities management; information and communications technology (ICT) requirements; budget and financial administration; and general administration.
- Manage relationships as well as lead engagements with internal and external stakeholders at various levels of seniority within the above-mentioned areas of responsibility.
- Represent the department on various committees, where required, in the context of the above-mentioned areas of responsibility.
- Fulfil the line management function pertaining to the development and performance of the team.
- Clarify roles and responsibilities as well as optimise and manage resources in the team.
- Support health and safety within the department, including maintenance of the department’s business continuity plan and emergency evacuation plans as well as the training of health and safety representatives.
- Provide guidance and make changes to optimise the management of the department's facilities, venues, business continuity management programme, logistics, training
- Coordinate and facilitate the strategic scorecard management process to support effective monitoring, measurement and reporting on the strategy of the department.
- Support the Head of Department (HoD) with administrative and operational requirements to ensure the smooth functioning of the department.
- Identify process inefficiencies, risks and internal control deficiencies within the management support services function and implement processes for the mitigation thereof.

**JOB REQUIREMENTS**
- a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management or an equivalent qualification; and
- a minimum of eight years’ experience within a management support environment, with at least two to five years’ experience in people management.
