Intern (Supply Chain Management)

**Intern - Supply Chain**, a 12-month internship exists within our clients Supply Chain Department based in Cape Town. For this period the incumbent will form part of the Procurement team and be exposed to all disciplines within supply chain, with specific focus on procurement.

**Duties include the following, but not limited to**:

- Work closely with the procurement team to ensure raw materials are ordered and received in accordance with production requirements.
- Ensure stock on hand matches stock reflected on the system, this includes participating in stock take/counts throughout the year.
- Ad hoc projects as required in the department to increase efficiency.
- Administrative duties, including filing, data capturing etc.
- Order raw materials, ensuring the correct procedures are followed and all required documents are completed.
- Generate and analyse reports as and when needed.
- Provide support to all departments within supply chain.
- Conduct market research, comparing prices and materials.
- Monitor/track progress of materials ordered and keep key stakeholders updated with arrival times.

**Requirements**:

- Relevant tertiary qualification in supply chain or operations management.
- Proficient in MS Office - with intermediate Excel skills.
- Excellent time management, organisational and communicative skills.
- Must be driven, proactive and able to take initiative.

**Stipend: R7 000**
