The Facilities Supervisor will play an important role to provide a safe, healthy and comfortable environment for staff and visitors, ensuring that the Byls Bridge building (“HO”) occupied by the Invested Companies within AGH remains secure, effective and fit for purpose on a day to day basis and all compliance is maintained.

**REQUIRED MINIMUM EDUCATION/TRAINING**
- Grade 12
- Relevant qualifications in Facilities/Property Management
- Certification in Health and Safety

**REQUIRED MINIMUM WORK EXPERIENCE**
- 3 years Property and Facilities operations experience
- 3 years experience as Supervisor/Team Lead within a Facilities environment

**KEY PERFORMANCE AREA**S
- Overall responsibility for all services including Reception, Mailroom, Catering, Cleaning, Waste, Hygiene, Pest Control, Security & Maintenance, including the Facilities Management Helpdesk services and systems.
- Lead Energy Management and Environmental/Sustainability initiatives for Head Office.
- Support and advise on the management of all Services including Asset Management across Mechanical & Electric Equipment and PPM scheduling.
- Implement and maintain a Preventative Maintenance Program (PMP) and ensure implementation of facilities' best practices, policies and procedures in line with property management principles.
- Assistant with managing and reporting of facilities budgets.
- Support the Insurance and Property Officer with the recruitment of competent employees, manage and monitor employee performance standards, identify training and development needs and ensure fair disciplinary processes to address deviations.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety requirements.
- Build and maintain sound relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

**TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE/ COMPETENCIES**

- Knowledge of National Building Regulations, the Building Standards Act, SANS and Property related legislation
- Ability to plan, organize, prioritize and effectively coordinate
- Good management and leadership skills
- Focused on good standards of service delivery
- Knowledge of the Occupational Health & Safety (OHS) Act and related legislation
- Proficient in the use of personal computers with Microsoft Office Suite software & SAP experience
- Ability to read Architectural, electrical and mechanical drawings.
- Sound people management skills
- Lease Management and Negotiation skills
- Sound knowledge of mechanical, electrical and plumbing
