Role Purpose

The Software Asset Management Administrator will support the development and administration of the Software Asset Management program. The incumbent will oversee the receipt, tracking, disposition and retirement of all software assets for the duration of their lifecycle; this includes but is not limited to maintaining records and databases containing licenses, warranties, and service agreement for software technology assets.
Requirements
- 1-3 Years Software asset management experience.
- Experience and understanding in software license management.
- Understanding of different types of hardware, ITSM policies, standards and guidelines.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, organizational, and service skills.
- Familiar with major service management platforms and ITAM Cloud/SaaS Tools.
- Experience with IT technologies, including common hardware, networking, and software licensing.
- Matric
- ITIL certification (preferred)
Duties & Responsibilities

Manage MMI’s software assets (Internal Process)
- Full Software Asset Management lifecycle role: 1-Determination of requirements, 2-Procurement, 3-License receipt, 4-Installation (Support staff instruction), 5-Usage control, 6-Managing and Balancing of inventories, 7-Re-use of software or recycling (end of life)
- Administer SAM tools and acts as a channel between SAM tools, processes and technology with other business unit to provide preemptive allocation and accurate updates to the asset repository.
- Maintains all software licenses and subscriptions, ensures contractual compliance, preforms license reconciliation, true-up processes, and all internal and external software licensing audits.
- Maintains proper implementation of SAM policies, processes, and procedures for effective software lifecycle management.
- Maintains software assets in compliance with legislative requirements and accounting standards from acquisition to disposal (e.g. lifecycle management)
- Works with stakeholders on audits of all IT software and enforces processes and procedures to ensure accuracy.

- Provide authoritative, expertise and advice to clients and stakeholders.
- Build and maintain relationships with clients and internal and external stakeholders.
- Deliver on service level agreements made with clients and internal and external stakeholders in order to ensure that client expectations. are managed.
- Make recommendations to improve client service and fair treatment of clients within area of responsibility.
- Participate and contribute to a culture which builds rewarding relationships, facilitates feedback and provides exceptional client service.
