**We are seeking an Instrumentation Technician for a permanent role based in Vereeniging, Gauteng.**

**Applicants are required to meet the following criteria**:

- **Grade 12 with Trade Certificate - controls & instrumentation; N3 / NCV 4 C&I**

- **5+ years post trade test related work experience, preferably within the water treatment operations**
***:

- **Valid Code 8 license, own vehicle and willing to travel**
***:

- **Experience on Siemens PLCs & Adroit SCADA software and principles of plant equipment**
***:

- **Knowledge of instrumentation principles & practices, system structures and troubleshooting**
***:

- **Skills in PLC / Automation / SCADA / Plant Maintenance and DCS**
***:
***:

- **Willing to work standby and weekends when needed**
***:
***

**The successful applicant would be responsible for, but not limited to**:
***
- **Fault finding on PLC controls, SCADA software and instrumentation equipment as well as software communication issues**
***:

- **Small scale software changes and programming of PLC & SCADA systems**
***:

- **Calibrate instruments; assemble, disassemble and test instrument parts**
***:

- **Audit / maintain spare parts and manage relevant documentation**
***:

- **Provide technical and expert advice and handle contingency regarding planned outages**
***:

- **Respond to outages and minimise breakdowns and call outs**
***:

- **Ensure safety and housekeeping standards are met**
***
