**_ Position Purpose:_**
- Responsible for leading and directing the development of the ICT Strategy and the Enterprise Architecture Methodology and

Framework across TPT, and where applicable lead and coordinate EA efforts between OD’s working with TPT (Group, TFR,
TNPA, TE).
- Responsible for defining EA processes such as the EA assurance process and for leading the integration of these

processes with other related business and IT processes.
**_ Position outputs:_**

1. Lead and direct the development of the TPT ICT strategy in full alignment with TPT and Transnet Group business and IT

strategies.

2.Lead the creation or evolution of the EA function or program, including the coordination of an appropriately balanced pursuit

of enterprise business, information, technical and solution architecture viewpoints.

3.Lead the identification and analysis of TPT enterprise business requirements; analyzing industry, technology and market

trends.

4. Analyze the current business and IT environment to detect critical deficiencies and recommend solutions for improvement

within TPT and across ODs as and when applicable.

5. Lead and facilitate the creation of governing principles to guide solution decision making for the enterprise.

6. Ensure the optimal governance structure and compliance activities (such as handling waivers) are associated with EA

compliance.

7. Lead the development of an implementation plan for the EA, based on business requirements and IT strategies;
overseeing EA implementation, ongoing EA refinement activities, and the documentation of all EA design and analysis work

Consulting with program/project teams to fit solutions to architecture across all viewpoints, while driving adherence to

principles of all TOGAF related architecture standards.

8.Identify organizational requirements for the resources, structures and Cultural changes necessary to support the EA.

9. Promote the EA process, outcomes and results to the organization, including the enterprise's IT and business leaders; this

includes assessing (through appropriate metrics) and communicating the achievement and impact of the EA, as well as

leading the development and execution of an EA communication and education plan.

10. Understand principles of all TOGAF or related architecture standards.

**_ Qualifications & Experience:_**
- A degree in computer science or computer engineering/ B-tech or a related field of study with min NQF 7 qualification.
- Previous experience as a successful enterprise architect highly desirable.
- 10 years of experience in at least two IT disciplines (such as technical architecture, solution/integration architecture,

operations management) in a heterogeneous environment
- or five years of experience in solution/integration architecture, business analysis or business strategic planning.
- TOGAF Certification highly desirable
- Standard Job Requirements- Driver’s licence code 8
