- We are assisting our client in seeking a dedicated and patient-oriented Medical Receptionist to join their team. As a Medical Receptionist, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional customer service by interacting with patients, performing reception duties, maintaining the reception area, capturing patients' details, and coordinating medical aid authorizations. **Minimum Requirements**:
High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification in healthcare administration is a plus.
- Previous experience in a medical receptionist or customer service role is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact effectively with patients and medical staff.
- Excellent organizational abilities to manage appointments, paperwork, and patient records.
- **Duties and Responsibilities**:
Greet and welcome patients in a friendly and professional manner.
- Register patients by collecting and verifying their personal and insurance information accurately.
- Schedule appointments and manage the appointment calendar efficiently.
- Answer phone calls, address inquiries, and provide necessary information to patients.
- Direct patients to the appropriate departments or healthcare professionals.
- Maintain the reception area, ensuring it is clean, organized, and presentable at all times.
- Assist patients with filling out forms, such as medical history and consent forms.
- Collaborate with medical staff to ensure a smooth patient flow.
- Coordinate with medical aid companies to obtain authorizations for treatments and procedures.
- Keep accurate records of patient interactions, including messages and follow-up actions.
- Handle patient inquiries, complaints, and concerns promptly and professionally.
- Adhere to privacy and confidentiality regulations while handling patient information.
