Product Owner

We are looking for a Product Owner to manage a cross-functional team, within the game development space. This is a great challenge for someone who has a detailed understanding of leading successful teams, is passionate about meeting product objectives and can execute on the vision and direction of the Software Development Manager.
This role entails aligning and managing the product strategy with portfolio objectives in mind and will be responsible for the vision and value realization of the products.
In the Portfolio team, everything is TEAM first and dedicated to delivering a legendary gaming experience to our players.

**Key Responsibilities**
Efficiency, Standards, Processes- Alignment with boards and standards across the company here applicable to the product. Identifies and ensures that efficient processes and procedures are in place to meet objectives and that these are followed and regularly reviewed.
- Strategic- Create and execute product technical and operational strategy that aligns with portfolio and group taking into consideration Products, Markets, Customers and Services. Facilitates an understanding of competitor analysis and market research to identify areas of opportunity and risk. Aligns with other teams as required to achieve objectives.
- Team Management- Manages direct and indirect reports Ensures that the team is appropriately resourced, and members are equipped with the requisite skill set required for both current and future projects. Developing a training and career development plan for each team member. Collaboratively works with team members to set performance goals and measures. Facilitates mentoring and coaching, as required. Manage relevant team budgets.
- Change Management- Facilitates change management due to changing situational, organisations and market requirements.
- Product Management- Responsible for each phase of the product life cycle, end to end. Responsible for creating and propagating a customer orientated attitude within the team, whilst identifying and understanding the needs of all customers, and managing their expectations. Aligning product strategy with business, customer and technology through collaboration. Manage issues with appropriate urgently which includes resolution and communication with stakeholders in conjunction with the support process. Ensure products are compliant as required and remains relevant. Define, track and measure product Business Benefit Realisation as appropriate to your product space. Maintains technical understanding and in-depth product(s) knowledge as well as general group product knowledge. Accountable for the reporting and analysis of the relevant performance metrics. Prioritisation and planning of Backlogs / Demand Pipelines and Product Roadmaps.
- Relevant Qualification
- 5 years’ experience in software development industry in complex, high performance software environments.
- Minimum 2 years Leadership experience within software development industry
- 2 years’ experience in gaming industry (advantageous)
- Proven track record of results - technical and leadership
- Analysis and budgeting experience
- Proven results engaging customers at executive level and senior management levels
- Excellent communication skills
- Experience in Coaching and developing others
- Able to handle high performance and fast paced environment. Handles high stress situations calmly and effectively
- Experience in driving, empowering, and creating high performance environments for teams
- Able to craft plans to realize business objectives
- Sets and achieves ambitious objectives
- Good understanding of Software Development Methodologies
