**Why we're hiring for this role**

As Peach Payments continues to grow, the complexity and volume of our legal and compliance obligations have increased. To ensure that we continue to meet these challenges effectively, we are seeking a "Legal and Compliance Support Coordinator" to enhance our in-house legal and compliance team's capabilities.

The "Legal and Compliance Support Coordinator" will play a pivotal role in supporting our legal and compliance operations by managing and streamlining administrative processes, assisting with merchant contract updates, sign requests, contract management, and completing due diligence forms. Your work will directly impact our ability to operate efficiently.

This position offers the opportunity to engage with multiple facets of our business, providing expert support and gaining invaluable insights into the inner workings of a bustling corporate legal department.

**Your mission if you choose to accept it**
- As our Legal and Compliance Support Specialist, your primary objective will be to ensure that our legal and compliance frameworks function seamlessly
- **Key focus areas**
- Document Diligence: You will meticulously manage and review legal documents, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and readiness at all times. Your keen eye for detail will prevent errors that could potentially lead to legal repercussions.
- Contract Management and Signature Process: Oversee the entire lifecycle of contracts from initiation through to execution. You will be responsible for organizing, tracking, and managing contracts, ensuring they are signed and stored appropriately.
- Process Optimization: Streamline our existing legal and compliance processes, making them more efficient while maintaining robustness. You’ll identify bottlenecks and implement improvements that will enhance our team's productivity.
- Supportive Collaboration: Act as a linchpin between different departments, ensuring they have the legal support necessary to execute their duties effectively.
- Continuous Learning and Improvement: Engage in ongoing education to remain fluent in relevant legal and regulatory trends.

- Attention to Detail: High precision in managing documents, contract party details and signature processes.
- Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills to interact effectively with internal teams and external parties.
- Organizational Skills: Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Technological Proficiency: Familiarity with legal document management systems, compliance software, and general office software (like Microsoft Office Suite).
- Operational Payments experience would be ideal i.e. familiar with the merchant onboarding and contracting processes.

**What do the first 3-6 months look like in this role?**

You'll take a deep dive into ongoing contracts and compliance projects. The goal is to understand the current status, the processes in place, and the immediate next steps. As you gain confidence and familiarity with our procedures, you will begin to take on more responsibility for managing contracts from start to finish and ensuring compliance processes are correctly followed. Gradually, you will start handling routine legal and compliance tasks independently, such as managing the signature process for contracts, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring that all legal documents are compliant and up-to-date.
