**School Principal Sathya Sai Primary School Lenasia South**

**4 Year Contract Position**

The Sathya Sai Primary School Lenasia South, board of management seeks to appoint a principal for term 3 in July 2023. The Sathya Sai Primary School in Lenasia South, is an independent primary school in Gauteng. The school is situated in the heart of the residential area of Lenasia South. The school is renowned for adopting the Sathya Sai sacred human value programme and focuses on character development and academic excellence.

The school has one class of the following grades: R, one, two, three, four, five, six and seven. The approximate number of learners at the school is 150 and educators is 10.

**Key requirements**

Qualification:

- A recognized degree in education and S.A.C.E. certification. A Master’s degree will be advantageous.
- Competent in MS office and other educational management systems

**Experience**
- Ability to coach and inspire by supporting and respecting all team members of the school, learners and parents

**Main Duties and Responsibilities**
- Responsible for the strategic direction of the school and the educational management of the school. Oversee the day-to-day operations of the school including school logistics.
- Manage the secular curriculum (CAPS) and the human value integration into the curriculum to ensure that lessons and activities delivered throughout the school meets the standards of the Curriculums and Assessments Policy Standards (CAPS).
- Engage with the school board in planning the strategy of the school and provide data on school performance and educator performance to the board. Attend school board meeting when invited.
- Able to engage with parents and learners on an on-going basis and manage emergencies or crises at the school
- Attend workshops, training interventions and conferences on current educational trends. Direct the educational innovation within the school to improve teaching and learning
- Ensure that the school environment is clean, safe and pleasing aesthetics
- Knowledge of the school administrative processes
- Assist the chief financial administrator to oversee the financial sustainability of the school. Provide input into setting the annual budget of the school and assist with managing the day-to-day budget of the school.
- Manage the governance of the school and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements in South Africa, school policies and procedures.
- Performance appraisals will be conducted on a six-monthly basis by the school management board.

Contract length: 48 months

**Salary**: R24,000.00 - R27,000.00 per month
