RESPONSIBILITIES

Achieve and exceed set Script generation targets based on EI & RI and market share objectives.

To effectively manage the regional territory by means of planning, territory analysis, customer targeting and call coverage of identified customer base.

Provide ongoing customer support.

Effective territory expense management and control.

To drive and generate scripts on the product basket within the private sector doctors in the territory.

Effective implementation of sales and marketing strategies.

To add value to an entrepreneurial climate.

Tracking & improve market share of the brands promoted.

To ensure the implementation of the plan for all relevant brands by effective detailing resulting in conversions and generation of scripts for the Client'sbrands from the Healthcare Professionals (HCPs), by creating brand awareness with all brands in the portfolio under different therapies.

Manage and maintain relationships with senior Healthcare Professionals/Key opinion leaders and implementation of agreed advertising and promotion activities and appropriate management issues by ensuring that activities bring the maximum value for the brands.

To ensure the roll out of new Marketing plans and techniques with HCPs advertising campaigns to support the achievement of revenue sales targets and contribute to the growth of within the South African business.

To support and ensure that advertising and promotion expenditure is in line with the budget.

Detailers to ensure they have the appropriate skills to interact with all relevant stakeholders.

To achieve the expected call rate by meeting the required number of customers per day.

Access relevant market information/competitor activities and products as and when required through daily/weekly/monthly or adhoc reports whenever required.

Responsible for prioritizing areas and working with a plan.

Travel in terms of meeting customers (country trips based on customer database).

Flexibility and willingness to work overtime as and when required, e.g. Customer meetings/conferences etc.

GENERAL

Be capable of engaging in a detailing session with all parties (Scripting/Dispensing Doctors and Pharmacists).

Be capable of initiating a ‘switch’ strategy at pharmacy level, due to generic market.

Ensure day-to-day flow of information of competitor activities and general company transactions via technology based tools supplied by the company.

To grow and develop new business thereby building up a solid customer base.

Manage the territory to achieve service level requirements in a cost efficient manner.

Maintaining monthly business expenditure within budget.

Be present at regional team meetings, cycle meetings and conferences.

Achieve 100% of set monthly/quarterly and annual Script targets, with capability of converting Doctors to script the Clientsproducts.

Provide daily reports/feedback as and when required.

PHARMACY TRAINING

Organizing pharmacy training events such as formal pharmacy training sessions.

EXHIBITIONS/MEETINGS

To assist where and when required, in promoting the company’s products through organized exhibitions and meetings to demonstrate the benefits of the various products.

CALL PLANNER/COVERAGE/FREQUENCY

Submission of call planner on a daily/weekly/monthly basis to the direct line manager & Adhere to coverage and frequency expectations set out by direct line management.

TERRITORY FEEDBACK

Submission of monthly territory feedback report to direct line manager, and interim reports as and when required.

MONTHLY

REPORTING

Repwise system reporting after completion of each call.

Send daily call reports in given template by direct line manager.

Ad hock reports as requested by direct line manager on daily, weekly, monthly basis, as and when requested for.

ONGOING

TRAVEL

Travel required for minimum 10 days as country trips as per business requirements.

MONTHLY

QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE
- At least 3 years proven successful track record in pharmaceutical industry will be required.
- Minimum 3 years detailing experience to specialist doctors is essential.
- Previous basket experience/exposure would be an advantage (Anti-Vertigo, CNS, CVS, Anti-Infective, Diabetic, and Urology).
- Existing relationships with key customers would be an advantage.
- Must be computer literate on MS Excel, Power Point and Word.
- Matric including relevant post graduate qualification
- Valid driver’s license.

PRODUCT PORTFOLIO
- Pharmaceutical product experience with scheduled medicines is essential (not OTC medicines experience)
- Anti-Vertigo, CNS, CVS, Anti-Infective, Diabetic, Urology.
