Yard Controller position

We are a cross border & local logistics company, based in Westmead Pinetown, with 25 freightliners, we are currently looking for a yard manager. It is a full time permanent position.

Duties & responsibilities
- to oversee people & daily operations of the yard in line with safety & environmental requirements
- to ensure all equipment & materials are properly maintained, stored and accounted for at all times.
- Monitor & facilitate smooth flows of trucks into and out of the yard to avoid congestion and ensure compliance with safe operating procedures
- Ensure internal control procedures are maintained regarding inventory items entering and leaving the store area.
- Inspection of all incoming inventory items to ensure that the goods are undamaged & are in fact the correct goods as ordered.
- Doing monthly stock inventory as part of the company procedure
- Ensure that all purchase orders are passed onto the procurement department timeously.
- General stores administration
- Maintain fleet maintenance &licencing records
- Local errands when required
- Diesel filling maintenance

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: From R10,000.00 per month

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Durban, KwaZulu-Natal: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)

**Education**:

- Certificate (preferred)
