**Pearl Valley Golf Estate, Paarl, currently has an exciting full-time vacancy for a dynamic individual, who will be part of their Restaurant team.**

**The responsibilities of the job incumbent include but are not limited to**: - Extensive knowledge of varying brands and quality of liquors - Preparing alcohol or non-alcohol beverages for bar and restaurant customers - Assessing customers’ needs and preferences, making recommendations, and upselling. - Mix ingredients to prepare cocktails - Validate customers’ identification and confirm it meets legal drinking age - Restock and replenish bar inventory and supplies - Stay customer focused and nurture an excellent customer experience - Comply with all food and beverage regulations and brand standards - Time-to-time stock take spot checks - Responsible for the stock in the bar area - Ensure cleanliness of all bar areas - Maintain cleanliness and standards in all bar storerooms - Control glassware and equipment ensuring mínimal breakages and responsible and correct usage of equipment within the beverage department - Basic knowledge of beverage handling procedures with regard to public health standards - Basic understanding of all technical machines used within the beverage department such as draft beer machine.

**The ideal job incumbent must adhere to the following person specifications**: - Grade 12 - Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Bartender - Experience in JONAS system will be an advantage - Good interpersonal skills - Willing to work shifts - Must be able to work weekends/evenings and Public Holidays - Flexibility - Detail-orientated - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (English & Afrikaans) - Able to multitask and work under pressure -Customer orientated - Stress tolerance -Trustworthy - Team player - Positive attitude - Obey to Health and Safety regulations.

**A market-related salary is offered.**

**Salary**: R5,000.00 - R6,000.00 per month

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Paarl, Western Cape: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- Bartending: 1 year (preferred)
