- A reputable company in the automotive industry is looking for trustworthy, reliable and experienced Senior Payroll Clerk who will be responsible for administering the payroll, reconciling all payroll related payments, as well as providing support to HR on all payroll related queries.**_ KEY RESPONSIBILITIES_**
- Interact with business units to ensure accurate payroll information is received in a timely manner.
- Prepare payroll file for authorization and distribution.
- Responsible for weekly, bi-weekly and monthly payroll, third party payments and reconciliations.
- Updates payroll records
- Process Tax year-end and Bi-Annual reconciliations
- Submissions of EMP201’s and EMP501’s.
- Monthly reconciliation, submission and returns for the National Bargaining Council for the Motor Industry
- Maintain knowledge of legal requirements affecting human resources and payroll functions and ensures policies, procedures, and reporting are in compliance with these requirements.
- Works with the Finance and HR teams with regards to annual audits and monthly reporting.
- Maintain the leave planner
- Leave processing and reporting for all staff.
- Process retirement fund withdrawals and contribution reconciliations.
- Compile, distribute and interpret payroll reports
- Resolves payroll discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information and interacting with HR.
- Provides payroll information by answering questions and requests.
- Any other duties or ad hock tasks.**Inherent Requirements**

**_QUALIFICATIONS/LICENSE_**
- Sage Pastel Partner and Payroll certification
- Microsoft Excel Certificate
- Driver’s License

**_EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS _**
- Minimum of 07 years’ experience as a Payroll Clerk
- Experience in payroll for multiple branches with a staff compliment of +200
- Knowledge of the MIBCO Main Agreement
- Computer literate in MS Excel and MS Word (pivot tables, V lookups etc.)
- Proficient Pastel Sage Payroll.
- Numerical reasoning
- Error checking
- Good communication skills (verbal and written)
- Good time management skills
- Organizing and planning ability
- Deadline driven
- Attention to detail

**_GENERAL REQUIREMENT_**
- Clear criminal record
- Willing to work overtime.
- Lives near JHB South
- Own transport
- Available immediately
