Process Coordinator

**Job Advert Summary**:
Rainbow is recruiting for 2 Process Coordinator's with a strong background in the manufacturing processing environment and mechanical technical expertise. The purpose of the role is to ensure the production process is efficient using various principles of engineering, quality assurance and world class poultry processing methods. You will be expected to manage and supervise people performance and team activities to ensure production targets are met while ensuring high levels of safety standards.

**Minimum Requirements**:

- Grade 12 preferably with Maths and Science.
- Mechanical Trade test.
- A relevant qualification / Degree or National Diploma in Mechanical Engineering will be an advantage.
- Minimum of 5 years post trade experience is essential.
- Extensive experience in Poultry Processing environment.
- Ability to work independently and under pressure.
- Prepared to work shifts, public holidays and weekends when required.
- Ability to communicate in English.
- Physically fit and able to work in adverse conditions.
- Safety conscious and highly efficient.
- Ensure adherence to all ISO 9001 and 22000 standards and procedures.

**Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Manage and supervise people performance and activities of the team to ensure production targets are met.
- Efficiently drive equipment reliability from receiving to EV through collaboration with engineering personnel.
- Diagnose breakdowns and troubleshoot problems using applicable RCA techniques.
- Oversee and sign off machine and equipment installations from receiving to EV.
- Ensure planned maintenance and inspection activities are executed as planned, including start-up procedures.
- Audit the maintenance plans, planned inspection work, and feedback to engineering for improvement.
- Review efficiencies of all machines (hourly, daily, weekly) and eliminate waste within the manufacturing process to deliver high quality products to defined standards.
- Review production processes and procedures leading to reduced variability and productivity/yield improvements.
- Investigate and resolve any quality issues, supply high quality birds to the chilling process.
- Initiate and drive projects with the aim to reduce operating costs.
- Undertake continuous training and development of machine minders and process personnel to achieve desired results.
- Supervise subcontractors doing work on machines and equipment.
- Build relationships with all stakeholders for effective execution of tasks.
- Ensure ISO, health and safety and environmental legislation are adhered to.
