**Duties and Responsibilities**:
**1.1. **Functional Strategy into Action Operationalisation**
- Facilitate integrated supply chain delivery by managing relationships and interaction with cross functional teams.
- Coordinate and drive the outbound supply chain planning projects when applicable.

**1.2. **Fresh Chicken / Just in Time Speciality Finished Goods Order Verification**

Chicken:

- Work closely with the Production Planner to ensure that all directives on fresh chicken stock allocations are executed accordingly.
- Work closely with the Production Planner to ensure that customer demand is adequately planned, and raise the alarm when the forward orders or forecast exceeds the agreed broad capacity guidelines or demand appears unusally low.

Speciality:

- Daily, download the Woollies orders from the portal and update the works orders for the factory with today’s orders.
- On request, extract the forward anticipated orders from the Woolworths portal in order to see anticipated forward demand.
- Expedite those orders that do not fall within the required lead times but that must be executed.
- Create / update works orders to enable the factory to produce against these customer orders.
- For chicken, ensure that the pricing reflected on the Woolworths order, as well as the expiry date is correctly reflected on the works order to ensure not problem with the printing of pricing and best-before dates during time of production.
- Manage stock in both quarantine and available for sale, to ensure stock is released quickly enough to meet customer service expectations
- Communicate with the call centre and the sales team, production and planning managers when demand cannot be met and advise on the plan to manage the gap
- Complete a daily reconciliation of expected orders to actual orders to ensure that all usual orders have been received (eg. branch orders which are regular). Where there are gaps, contact the appropriate account manager for assistance.
- Use SAP/Syspro to double check that all orders are covered
- (In SAP: ZZPDPRECON for Directs; and ZPBCSSTOS for branches).

**1.3. **Fresh Chicken Order Execution and SAP Transaction Processing**
- Update or verify information on the shopfloor system (eg: production date and cut-off time, pricing).
- Provide the plant with the shopfloor system works order.
- Confirm delivery time slots with customers, where appropriate.
- Monitor fresh stock through the library, where appropriate.
- Reconcile the library stock to the forward demand (twice daily) to manage shortfalls and overstocks.

**1.4. **Transport Requirements Planning**
- Work with the site despatch and transport team to ensure that provision is made for fresh stock orders using the weekly fresh forecast as a guide for the week in advance requirements plan.
- On a daily basis, extract the customer orders (customer direct and branch replenishment orders) from SAP/ Syspro or Woolworths portal to ensure that all orders are allocated to a vehicle on the loading schedule.
- Ensure that any promotions that may require the planning of additional trucks or space on trucks are sufficiently catered for.
- Ensure daily that all orders for loading are allocated to trucks and have the necessary system documentation created (eg: shipments and deliveries).
- Manage any transport exceptions with the logistics teams

**1.5. **Customer Service Monitoring for Finished Goods Stock**
- Closely monitor fresh / Just in time production through the factory and fresh library to ensure timeous loading for delivery.
- Liaise closely with the despatch team to ensure that all orders are allocated to a vehicle and that no delays are anticipated.
- Liaise closely with the call centre or customer (internal), as appropriate, to ensure that any deviations to the transport plan are communicated accordingly.
- Liaise closely with the receiving branches/warehouses and the Stock Allocations Planner to advise of shortfalls to orders and to pre-arrange the fair allocation of available stock across all orders.
