Our gensets are designed and manufactured in South Africa, with world-class engines and components. Aside from saving clients’ money through power-outage protection, peak shaving, and waste heat recovery, we also reduce carbon emissions by displacing diesel and coal.

**Role Overview**:
Regular interaction with fellow sales team members and colleagues from various departments— including engineering (or R&D), design, finance, business development, project management— alongside senior executives, is expected.

**Responsibilities**:

- Collaborate with engineers to design, model, and analyse mechanical systems, components, and structures.
- Assist in the creation and review of 2D and 3D CAD drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.
- Participate in prototype development, testing, and iterative design processes.
- Conduct research, data analysis, and material selection to support engineering projects.
- Assist in troubleshooting and problem-solving related to mechanical systems.
- Support the implementation of safety protocols and quality control standards.
- Learn and utilize specialized engineering software and tools.
- Work as part of a cross-functional team to achieve project objectives.

**Qualifications**:

- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Inventor) and familiarity with simulation tools is a plus.
- Ability to work in a team as well as independently.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and preferably another language such French, Portuguese, Swahili, etc.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and technical software/tools.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
- Must have a strong academic record.
- Possess good work ethic with attention to details.
- Eagerness to learn and a proactive attitude.
