Operation Balancing and Reconciliation Assistant

SBV seeks a Operation Balancing and Reconciliation Assistant who will provide assistance and administrative support to the National balancing and reconciliation team.

**Balancing and Reconciliation**
- Assist Operations Balancing and Reconciliation Officers at Support Office with retrieving and collating of information required for investigating of outstanding items on Recons
- Obtain copies of treasury registers and ISA safe stock summary data from the Cash Centre as source documentation to be compiled for auditing by Balancing & Recon Officer
- Obtain GL from Cash Centre or bank in order to compile and submit for auditing by Operational Balancing & Recon Officer
- Obtain list of outstanding items per account from Cash Centre as source documentation to be compiled for auditing by Balancing & Recon Officer
- Assist all centres with operational reconciliation queries by determining and obtaining source documentation related to Cash centre queries

**Cash on Hand Checks**
- Retrieve and collate information required for Cash on Hand weekly checks by Balancing & Recon Officer
- Retrieve and collate information required for Cash on Hand monthly checks, signed by Cash Processing Manager and report any discrepancies to Balancing and Recon Officer

**Consolidate daily, weekly and monthly balancing and reconciliation reports on a National** **level**
- Capture and consolidate Daily Recon stats/escalation report and submit daily to Balancing & Recon Officer and Specialist.
- Compile monthly reports per bank from the Daily Recon stats and distribute to the relevant stakeholders
- Consolidate weekly Manco Report received from Cash centre
- Contact the Cash centre on follow up on the status of outstanding items in MANCO report.
- Consolidate and provide weekly report on Teller differences and Inter Teller transactions to Balancing & Recon Officer and Specialist
- Obtain and Prepare required data for ATM balancing reporting
- Obtain and prepare required data for CIT balancing reporting

**Assist with administrative tasks in your area**
- Order and distribute stationery as and when required by the team
- Compile and distribute minutes of all team meetings to the relevant stakeholders
- Responsible for the housekeeping of daily admin work
- Manage and Maintain electronic filing system for Balancing & Recon
- Administration of Leave Calendar
- Assist the Balancing and Recon Manager with compiling prestation’s as and when required
- Assist with all other administrative tasks as assigned by the Balancing and Recon Management

**Minimum Requirements: Work Experience**
- 2 years’ administration experience of which 1-year Balancing and Reconciliation experience

**Minimum Requirements: Education**
- Grade 12 with Accounting and Mathematics
- Diploma in Bookkeeping, Financial or Business Management qualification (Advantageous)
