**Duties and responsibilities**

**General**
- Taking care of job sites - completing the required electrical installations in a neat and efficient manner, according to the program and in line with Black Arc quality standards
- Ensuring that all material installed on the site is recorded and feedback given to the relevant Project Manager - any deviations from the scope or original specification are discussed beforehand and confirmed in writing before proceeding.
- Responsible for ensuring the installation is complete and safe in line with the SANS10142 and that all pre-checks are complete before powering up equipment.
- All required tests are performed and the results documented for the electrical compliance of the installation.
- Pre-commissioning checks to be conducted to prepare the installation for inspection and handover, this will include checking of motor directions and amps, documenting setpoints of equipment, checking startup sequences, setting up instruments and verifying feedback signals to MCC & PLC.

**Uniforms**
- Correct and clean uniform and polished shoes to be worn daily

**Health and Safety**
- General health and safety rules are to be followed whilst at work, and the correct PPE is to be worn when working with tools and/or equipment. You also have to make sure that your team is abiding by these rules at all times

**Qualifications**
- N2/N3
- Completed Apprenticeship
- Successful completion of a Trade Test
- Wireman’s License - Essential
- Drivers License
