Senior Specialist: Solution Architect

**Role purpose**:
Solution Architect with Machine Learning competence will envision, build, deploy and operationalize an end-to-end machine learning (ML) and AI pipeline. Furthermore, the individual will operate as the glue between data scientists, data engineers, developers, operations (DevOps, MLOps) and business unit leaders to govern and scale the Machine Learning initiatives.

**Your responsibilities will include**:
To perform systems analysis and design activities by assessing requirements in terms of feasibility, impact, and cost, thereby assisting to create and compile accurate user requirement documents.
To provide a high-level solution design (HLD)/ Cloud Based Solution Blueprint document in response to business requirements.
Creating and managing data architectures and machine learning models
Creation and implementation of Machine Learning / Deep Learning algorithms
Collecting business requirements and planning the tasks of the Data Science team working in an agile way of working.
To act as a technical liaison between business and the technical teams and to ensure the required support from all areas to ensure delivery of quality solutions.
Evaluate technical alternatives to identify suitable cost-conscious solutions that address the business needs and requirements.
Provide solution architectures that support the strategic direction of the business.
Ensuring model interpretability for understandability
Ensuring the Model Expandability
Model Performance
Ensure technical architectures and solutions are aligned with Tech 2025(Data Intelligence Principles).

**Technical / professional qualifications**:
3 Year Degree in Software Engineering/Computer Science
5 - 8 Years Solution Architecture experience preferably in a highly complex environment (essential)
3- 5 Years Machine Learning Experience
Matric/Grade 12 or equivalent (A-Level Cambridge standard)

Familiarity with Public Cloud Platforms
Knowledge in Data Science/Machine Learning
A clear understanding of workflow and pipeline architecture (in-depth knowledge in model building, Governance, deployment, and production workflows).
Knowledge in Machine Learning on Big Data Platform
