**Purpose**:
Achieving the company’s financial and business objectives, by performing all duties related to the accounts payable role.
Ensure timeous and efficient management of locally-based vendors/suppliers accounts.
Provide accounting and administrative support to other business units, and to ensure proper service levels are maintained.

**Responsibilities**
- Maintain vendor information on the financial system and banking platforms.
- Process sundry purchase orders.
- Check GRN’s against supplier invoices and resolve discrepancies.
- Ensure requisitions, purchase orders and invoices are properly authorized and are in accordance with the appropriate levels of authority.
- Ensure creditor’s invoices meet the minimum VAT requirements.
- Record creditors invoices to the correct expense account & cost centres.
- Prepare account reconciliations in respect of creditor statements & payments.
- Submit weekly cash flow analysis for creditors payments.
- Ensure supplier account payments are actioned timeously via the various banking platforms, and discounts are claimed where applicable.
- Record creditors payments in the financial system.
- Ensure that remittances and feedback are sent to suppliers timeously.
- Address and resolve creditors account queries efficiently and timeously.
- Maintain an up-to-date age analysis.
- Provide month-end accrual figures.
- Enforce organisational policies and principles.
- Maintain customer service standards.
- Ensure audit deliverables are maintained according to the standard required by the auditors.

**Qualification and Experience**
- Minimum 5 - 7 years’ experience in similar role
- Education/ Qualification(s)
- Matric
- Degree / Diploma in Finance / Accounting
- Knowledge
- Financial management / accounting principles
- Basic understanding of good corporate governance principles
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills / Formatting & formula skills
- Knowledge of Pastel Evolution or Epicor ERP advantageous
