Fitter Paarl

Key Responsibilities

To perform daily maintenance routine duties and report any breakages, damages to the Maintenance Manager.

Carry out preventative and corrective maintenance in a timely manner with no risk to food safety or production

Ensure health and safety, housekeeping and hygiene practices are always maintained

To be a mentor to others in the department and guide the team

Coaching and mentoring of the team

Follow company policy in line with legislation, best practice and organisational objectives

Excellent communication skills

Excellent planning and organizational skills with a sense of priority for deadlines and attention to detail

Highly developed problem-solving ability

Monitoring/Assessing performance of self, other individuals, and system/operations to ensure continuous improvement

High level of self-awareness

Willingness to learn. Adaptability. Confidence. Resilience. Optimism. Agility. Calmness. Considerate.

Willing to be on standby

Requitements:
Matric

Red seal - Fitter qualification

Valid driver’s license

Minimum of 2-5 years’ experience as a Fitter in a Maintenance Department

Strong knowledge of plant machinery and equipment with demonstrated record of delivery

Excellent abilities to complete root cause and failure analysis is imperative for the job

Excellent knowledge of routine planned and preventative maintenance

Able to provide expert advice and problem-solving techniques to fellow colleagues

Experience in the FMCG industry advantageous

Experience in draughtsman skills will advantageous
