To provide the necessary financial support to the Supply Chain Team to assist them in the deliver of their financial goals. To provide accurate and timeous management information to the Finance Director and Supply Chain Director to enable proper decision-making. To co-ordinate and provide assistance in the delivery of budgets and forecasts for the Supply Chain.

Serve as custodian of the companies assets in terms of Inventory and Fixed Assets

**Duties and Responsibilities**
- The preparation of management information reports, including but not limited to the following:

- Cost of Production for all SKUs
- Analysis of Factory expenses versus forecasts / budgets and prior year data.
- Analysis of Plant Performance in terms of recovery of factory expenses
- Raw Material usage and Price variances
- Provide adequate explanations and reasoning behind all variances to comparatives from a financial perspective.
- Support the Senior Finance Manager and Finance Director with regards to all information requested from a Supply Chain perspective on a monthly and adhoc basis.
- Provide finance support to the Supply Chain Director and Supply Chain Management Team on a day-to-day basis with regards to analysis and understanding of financial information.
- Preparation of Supply chain budgets and forecasts as required by the Finance Director and Senior Finance Manager within stipulated deadlines.
- Preparation of all month end reports for Supply Chain within deadlines stipulated by the Senior Finance Manager and Finance Director.
- Provide accurate costings for all SKUs broken down adequately with supporting details into Labour, Burden, Material, Distribution costs and Inserts at each budget and forecasting stage.
- Provide reasoning and guidance to the organisation with regards to variances in costing prices, as may be required from time to time.
- Review / Prepare capex justifications and ensure all capex justifications are realistic and reasonable through discussion with Supply Chain Management.
- Management, Control and review of the Fixed Asset Register.
- Supervise the costing of new products and ensure that costs are reasonable and realistic.
- Understand plant manufacturing capacities and highlight any risks to the Supply Chain Director.
- Set up BOM (Bills of Material) and Costings on SAP and ensure they are updated on a regular basis.
- Provide a lead role in the development and progression of SAP from a costing and management reporting perspective.
- Set up an architecture for costing of products that meets business needs.
- Develop the cost analyst through coaching, delegation guidance and feedback.
- Highlight any business risks to the Finance Director.
- Represent finance at various internal forums, as maybe required from time to time.
- Highlight issues of noncompliance with S404 and to ensure all S404 testing, as required by the Senior Finance Manager is delivered within stipulated quarterly deadlines.
- To assist in the production of reports and analyses as requested by the Supply Chain Finance Manager and Finance Director.
- To provide accurate feedback on any investigations from an Internal Control perspective, as required by the Supply Chain Finance Manager and Finance Director on an ad-hoc basis.
- To ensure all Quarterly Declarations required from Supply Chain is signed off and on record.
- To review / prepare all stock related reconciliations.
- Provide recommendations on how to improve controls within the business.
- Capital:

- To prepare capital investment analysis (IRR’S & NPV’S)
- Maintain Fixed Asset registers.
- Run Monthly Depreciation calculations & Journals
- Monthly inventory valuations in terms of physical count & validation.
- Annual inventory of Fixed Assets.
- Ensuring good governance.
- To support in the calculation and booking of accurate distribution and warehouse costs.
- Analyse transport costs provided by 3PL and drive improvements in processes between the two teams.
- Drive savings projects formulation and tracking in both the DC and the plant.
- Support the plant by managing all Raw and Pack material warehouses and movement of materials in the business.
- Lead all stock count and stock verification that may be needed and provide an accurate final stock adjustment report.

**Qualifications and Experience**
- A qualified Cost Management Accountant / B Comm / CIMA with at least 4 years post qualification experience.
- A reasonable knowledge of all the latest accounting standards.
- At least four years experience in a costing / Supply Chain environment.
- Good finance and accounting skills
- Strong managerial and interpersonal skills

Sufficient / in-depth, knowledge of:

- Above average excel skills. Excel advanced
- Computer literate: MS Office
- Exposure to SAP would be advantageous.
- Limited travel between Springs and Woodmead offices
