**Main job purpose**

To partner with line management, providing an effective, value adding HR service to meet the demands of a high performance culture and proactively interact with line management and employees through the delivery of professional human resource management services and to ensure that labour disputes and grievances are minimised by developing and maintaining effective procedures and ensuring adequate communications between management and employees, whilst further monitoring and ensuring adherence and compliance with appropriate Industrial and HR legislation.

**Main Objective**

Manage labour disputes and grievances and ensure that these are minimised by developing effective procedures on which Management is trained and monitored against.

Responsible for monitoring compliance with appropriate industrial legislation.

Monitors industrial relations indicators e.g. number of disputes, grievances and recommends corrective action. Ensures that correct procedures are followed at hearings as per policies and procedures.

Work with departmental Managers with respect to disciplinary action required, including preparation of documents, investigation of offences, scheduling hearings, and attendance at hearings

Ensure that performance management system is implemented effectively throughout the business in accordance with the legislation to ensure continuous performance improvement.

To coordinate the training and development plan with management and training to build capacity.

Advise and support Line Management with regards to the implementation of company's policies and procedures to ensure substantive and procedural fairness is adhered to.

To ensure that SAP HR system and Success Factors integrity is maintained through accurate data capturing.

To train and support time administrators with regards to the biometrics system to ensure that queries are addressed timeously.

Ensure that Personnel Administration and Personnel records are in place and up-to-date in accordance with company and legal requirements.

Drive the Social Responsibility projects. - Ensure that all the required reports are submitted as requested by line.

Monitor the departmental budget on a monthly basis and ensure control of it.

Coordinate provident fund and medical aid queries and ensure that employee matters are resolved.

Maintain a relationship with the Union to create a sound working environment.

Enabling sound labour relations through effective communication and relationship building with key stakeholders

**Critical job requirements**

**Qualification(s)**
- Grade 12
- Degree in HR or Industrial Psychology

**Knowledge**
- Knowledge of Performance Management
- Knowledge of Job Profiling & Job Evaluation
- Knowledge of Recruitment & Selection process
- Knowledge of compensation & benefits

**Skills**
- Business Acumen
- Planning & Organising Skills
- Reporting Skills
- Communication Skills
- Experience within Union negotiations and CCMA hearings.
- Ability to motivate employees
- Microsoft Office Proficiency
- Conflict Resolutions Skills

**Experience**
- 7 years General HR of which at least 5 years have been working in Industrial Relations within a unionised environment preferably in mining or manufacturing.
- Leadership experience
- Experience gained in a highly unionised environment

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Springs, Gauteng: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)
