**Data Governance Manager**

The primary responsibility of Data Governance Manager is to coordinate, design, develop, direct, and oversee the implementation of the Data Governance Framework and do analysis and presentation on various area to ensure that Governance is adhered to, and Data Quality is positively affected by this. This position will manage the data standards and processes responsible for ensuring data governance.

**Key Roles and Responsibilities**:

- Define full Data Governance Framework
- Ensure Data Privacy is adhered to
- Implementation of Standards & Structure
- Define System Governance for SMO
- Ensure Governance across the Data Value stream
- Ensure that Impact Analysis is incorporated in Data Governance
- Drive Data Governance as an enabler for the business
- Visualisation & Style Guide
- Ensure integration of SDRA into Governance
- Define, Implement & Monitor Naming Conventions
- Ensure the use of standard templates & workbooks
- Review relevance of Standards & business Rules
- Business Rule Governance

**Knowledge, skills, and attributes**:

- Ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
- Well organized, strong analytical skills, and capable of handling multiple projects with executive stakeholders
- Knowledge of statistical analysis and reporting packages
- Ability to identify solutions in sprawling data sets and the business mindset to convert insights into strategic opportunities
- Ability to produce understandable and actionable reports gleaned from data
- Strong problem solving, quantitative and analytical abilities
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and delegation skills

**Academic Qualifications and Certifications**:
Degree in Data Science, Business Analytics, Mathematics, Economics, Statistics, Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or another quantitative field (preferably a master’s or PhD or equivalent)

**Experience required**:

- Experience using statistical packages for analyzing datasets (Excel, PBI, R, Python)
- Experience managing end-to-end process improvement implementations spanning process, systems, and people
- Experience with implementing Data Governance principles in various levels of the business
- Experience with reporting packages (Business Objects), databases (SQL), and ETL frameworks
- Experience working with and creating dashboards using all relevant data to inform decisions
- Experience providing leadership to and managing a team
