**Your Role and Responsibilities**
Experienced staff position in Johannesburg for a B-BBEE professional career, as a Stream lead and trusted advisor, with the following responsibilities:
**Provide Leadership and support over IBM's Framework of B-BBEEs**:
Demonstrate knowledge of the B-BBEE program and utilize it to ensure the best level can be maintained, specifically on the (Preferential Procurement stream). Promote understanding to line management on the status on the stream and plans to attain a satisfactory B-BBEE rating for the element.

Foster collaboration with line management across organizational boundaries to identify, mitigate and control any risk that may arise.

Collaborate with other compliance and governance functions, e.g. Procurement, Legal, Finance, HR, Trust and Compliance, Enterprise Risk Management. Ensure that compliance with all processes and policies relating to the preferential procurement stream and the BBBEE programme.
- to assist on analysis of procurement data with the aim of proactively identifying and correcting insufficient spend on BBBEE suppliers,
- model the data on the BBBEE scorecard,
- track the spend and meet targets of the stream,
- interlock with accelerators,
- update the BBBEE status of all IBM SA suppliers,
- survey the market for trends for development of BBBEE suppliers,
- Interact with BU's to identify opportunities to engage BBBEE suppliers and drive Business to engage such suppliers.
- Use data analytics, historical trends, and marketplace factors to identify problems and control exposures providing in-depth, yet concise, analysis of cause and solution approaches. Demonstrate business knowledge and experience when developing assessments and recommendations. Provide advice, counsel, and support to achieve business objectives.
- Drive results within local area of responsibility
- Support efforts to identify ways to maintain IBM current B-BBEE level. Accountable for individual, team, or department results for assigned area of responsibility
- Manage Audits of the programme.

**Required Skills**:

- Demonstrate knowledge of the B-BBEE framework and promote understanding by line management. Foster collaboration with line management and other governance functions to identify and mitigate risk to the element.
- Ability to identify exposures, analyze causes, and suggest solutions based on knowledge of the business. This is a role for a focal with a strong analytics, financial, controls background, strong project management skills, and business development
- Must be able to forecast, plan and motivate the budget for initiatives and programmes
- Must demonstrate the ability to manage budgets and Expenses.
- Collaborate cross-departmentally to source and secure relevant business information / data that will feed into accurate forecasting
- Plan, monitor and control expenditure, ensuring the efficient use of resources and follow up on purchase orders and payments
- Identify potential training opportunities and facilitate training development initiatives for beneficiaries
- Must be self-motivated and have attention to detail
- Must have a strong integrity focus around policies and procedures and an appreciation of consequences of non-compliance with integrity related rules and regulations
- An understanding of IBM processes and policies, in relation procurement, financial controls, integrity requirements is preferable.

Demonstrate the ability to engage with diverse set of Beneficiaries and Service providers

Drive alignment, collaboration and synergy between the various stakeholders and suppliers to provide a comprehensive Solutions

Develop and nurture an effective network of relationships across the various constituencies associated with BBBEE

Build and maintain good working relationships with stakeholders and maintain a strong feedback loop with all parties - provide regular updates and feedback to secure buy-in and manage expectations

Maintain the highest standards of customer service by immediately attending to and resolving issues

Collaborate closely with Procurement and other business units within the organization

Balance interests of a variety of stakeholders, readjusting priorities to respond to pressing and changing demands
