Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced General Manager / Project Manager to oversee the successful launch and ongoing operation of a 5 Star Lodge. This role requires a dynamic individual with a proven track record in hospitality management and project management. The General Manager / Project Manager will be responsible for all aspects of lodge operations, from pre-opening planning and construction management to daily guest services and staff management.

Key Responsibilities:

- Pre-Opening Planning and Development:

- Collaborate with stakeholders to define project goals and objectives.
- Create a detailed project plan, including budgets, timelines, and resource allocation.
- Oversee lodge construction, ensuring it meets quality and safety standards.
- Develop marketing and promotional strategies for the lodge launch.
- Staff Recruitment and Training:

- Recruit and hire a skilled and customer-focused team, including front-of-house and back-of-house staff.
- Conduct training programs to ensure staff are well-prepared to provide exceptional service.
- Implement and enforce staff policies and procedures.
- Guest Services and Experience:

- Ensure exceptional guest experiences by maintaining high service standards.
- Oversee reservations, check-in/check-out procedures, and concierge services.
- Handle guest feedback and resolve any issues promptly and professionally.
- Financial Management:

- Develop and manage the lodge's operating budget.
- Monitor revenue, expenses, and profit margins to ensure financial targets are met.
- Implement cost-saving measures and revenue-generating strategies.
- Marketing and Promotion:

- Develop and execute marketing plans to attract and retain guests.
- Build relationships with travel agencies, tour operators, and local businesses.
- Utilize online platforms and social media for marketing campaigns.
- Compliance and Safety:

- Ensure the lodge complies with all relevant regulations and permits.
- Maintain safety protocols and emergency response plans.
- Conduct regular safety audits and inspections.
- Sustainability and Environmental Stewardship:

- Implement sustainable practices in lodge operations.
- Promote eco-friendly initiatives and responsible tourism.
- Reporting and Communication:

- Provide regular reports to stakeholders on lodge performance.
- Communicate effectively with owners, investors, and team members.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field (Master's preferred).
- Proven experience as a General Manager or Project Manager in the hospitality industry, preferably in a luxury lodge or hotel setting.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Financial acumen and budget management experience.
- Familiarity with sustainability and eco-friendly practices in hospitality.
- Knowledge of relevant hospitality software and technology.
