Ensure the Mine Health and Safety Act, 1996 (Act No.29 of 1996) safety and health standards are maintained.
- Ensure discipline is maintained within the organisation and manage HR Assistants daily duties.
- Review relevant employee documentation to SAGE / Payroll prior to processing through Time Management. (Transfer forms, change in rate / acting forms, all forms that require employee / organisational structure changes on SAGE)
- Participate in labour planning and ensure labour is supplied in line with approved plan andbudgets.
- Co-ordinate and support company’s Employment Equity and Skills Development Plans.
- Ensure the actual (in-service) labour figures are in line with planned/budgeted labour figures within area or responsibility
- Ensure that accurate labour records are maintained
- Review & ensure correctness of all documents i.e. acting allowance / rate change, tranfers, leave forms, terminations, exit interviews etc.
- Manage poor work attendance
- Weekly & Monthly reporting on attendance related incidents
- Managing employee relations (disciplinary / meetings / union)
- Reporting on ER incidents
- NQF 4 (National Senior Certificate or Grade 12 or Adult Senior Certificate)
- National Diploma in Human Resources Management
- BA/BTech: Degree in Human Resources Management and related courses will be advantageous
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the HR related field within the mining environment
- Sage 300 People experience would be advantageous - Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Thorough attention to detail - Ability to work well with others
- Good customer service skills
- Valid driver’s licence
