- To support the Retail and Business banking marketing strategy by managing the team and the delivery of events / leveraging sponsorship that enable networking opportunities that result in acquisition and retention of clients while building and maintaining a strong brand.**Responsibilities**:

- Conceptualise and execute event concepts in line with business requirements
- Negotiating of sponsorship properties and effective leveraging thereof through influencing, advising and guiding internal stakeholders.
- Deliver on the efficiencies and effectiveness of the RBB events and sponsorships function
- Enable measurement of Return on Marketing Investment (ROMI) by conducting post event analysis and reconciliation.
- Create cost efficiencies in line with Group Procurement Policy by researching, evaluating and negotiating with suppliers.
- Ensure budgets are adhered to and mitigate financial risk
- Embed client relationships
- Maintain brand consistency by ensuring that all eventing and sponsorship activities are aligned with RBB and Group Marketing Strategies.
- Develop and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders by building effective business partnerships and supporting events team.
- Create and ensure alignment of event activities by collaborating across divisions, regions and clusters.
- Create differentiation and maintain market competitiveness by monitoring competitor event activity and identify opportunities.
- Ensure continued improvement and client satisfaction.
- Contribute to the creation of a conducive work environment by providing fit-for-purpose event management advice.
- Accountable for identifying strategic event and sponsorship opportunities for the business and ensuring effective implementation.
- Enable the business and marketing strategy through the delivery of unique, appropriate, best of breed event activities for clients and staff.
- Manage and identify key operational and business risks.
- Ensure delivery of projects in line with business objectives, marketing strategy, deadlines and budgets
- Keep stakeholders and events team informed on project progress through regular communication.
- Ensure that event activities across the business units are effectively coordinated.
- Responsible for the successful evaluation of events to ensure continued success and improvement.
- Review service providers’ professional support on a continuous basis to ensure that a high level of service is maintained.
- Ensure compliance and mitigate risk.
- Ensure transformational targets are met for own team through consideration of targets during the staff recruitment, retention and training process and utilising suppliers listed on the preferred supplier list.
- Achieve operational excellence.
- Encourage team to generate innovative ideas and share knowledge.
- Essential Qualifications - NQF Level- Advanced Diplomas/National 1st Degrees
- Preferred Qualification- Qualification - Certificate/ Diploma or Degree in Marketing/ Arts/ Commerce
- Marketing and events / sponsorship programs under your belt/portfolio
- Minimum Experience Level- 10 + years' experience managing large and complex events in CIB environment including managing events team and people
