Head of Department: Marketing

Non-Profit Organisation in Houghton is looking to employ a Head of Department for Marketing and Communications. The role entails the following:

- Creating and implementing marketing plans based on research and SEO.
- Coordination of all above-the-line marketing (digital, print, presentations) as well as below-the-line marketing (newsletters etc.)
- Creating media contents, ads, campaigns, and articles
- Proposal writing to sponsors and corporates
- Develop strong relationships, maintain continuous dialogue and briefing of graphics/media.
- Briefing and managing the designer to meet priorities timeously.
- Review and edit all marketing material
- Understanding current and potential markets
- Consistent innovation
- Maximising brand exposure in the market.
- Ability to brief on graphics

**REQUIREMENTS**
- Degree/Diploma in marketing and Communication or Journalist from an accredited institution
- Minimum of five years’ marketing and communications experience
- Super creative
- English First Language - excellent verbal and written communication skills (grammar and spelling)
- Excellent writing skills - content development, internal and external communications, creative - experience in writing articles and blogs
- Experience and good track record in writing proposals
- Able to create own content (video would be a bonus)
- Experience in managing a creative team
- Strategical management
- Highly active and proficient on all Social Media platforms
- Highly organised with ability to handle pressure
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Attention to detail
- Experience in Wordpress
- Up to date with the latest trends
- Own transport and valid drivers’ license essential.

**Job Type**: Contract
Contract length: 3 months

**Salary**: R35,000.00 per month

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Johannesburg, Gauteng: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- Creative Writing: 10 years (required)
