**Description**:
Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced persons to fill the position of the Chief Executive Officer at a specialist State-Owned Entity operating in the Eastern Cape, with its Head Office in East London. The position has four divisions reporting to it: Operations, Finance, Corporate Services and Planning and Development.

**Minimum required qualifications**:

- B.Engineering / BSc Engineering (Civil/Mech/Elect) or equivalent (NQF 8)
- Post-graduate qualification in either Public Administration, Management, or Finance field from a recognized Higher Institution (NQF 8 or higher)

**Advantageous qualification**:

- MBA/MBL (preferred / advantageous)

**Minimum required experience**:

- 5+ years of Executive Management experience
- Public sector experience including interactions with other Accounting Officers, Executive Authorities, and oversight structures of Legislatures Extensive experience in an Operations environment or a Project Management environment
- Extensive experience in Engineering operations and proven experience in dealing with Organised Labour
- Extensive knowledge of National Treasury’s Regulations, Practice Notes, and Instruction Notes
- Broad experience in stakeholder engagement and management
- Management experience in a water environment (preferred / advantageous)
